Statistics show that 20-30% students have diagnosed or undiagnosed learning disabilities. This presents a significant challenge to teachers who must adapt their teaching to suit a diverse range of interests and abilities. Increasing students engagement is top of mind for teachers.
This article provides examples on how technology can be integrated into activities to engage students with disabilities. Technology can also significantly reduce the need to 'manage the classroom' as students find the different venue to engage in learning. Special mention is made to engaging students on the autistic spectrum via school curriculum.
